Due to a waterlogged pitch today’s match against Aberavon Naval has been postponed.

Saturday the 1st of November saw Fall Bay playing Tregaron at home in the league. After two tough games the previous season including a draw at home a close encounter was expected.

Following a slightly delayed kick-off all the early pressure came from Fall Bay with strong early runs from amongst others Stuart Barrow, Steve Hewitt and Dai “clean off it”. All this early pressure failed to yield any tries for Fall Bay and also included two failed penalty kicks into the wind from the usually reliable Kirk Reardon.

On Saturday Oct 4th we welcomed Pontrhydyfen to Fall Bay RFC. Based on last season, it lived up to expectations of being a closely fought game with Pontrhydyfen eventually winning by 3 points, with a final score of 29 - 26. The extremely wet and windy weather was always going to make it a difficult day for running rugby with Fall Bay playing with the strong wind in the first half. The early exchanges were dominated by handling errors, one of which in the Pontrhydyfen midfield, led to a kick and chase with Dan “Lynda Carter” Davies winning the race for the touchdown on her return from injury. Kirk Reardon converted the try to give Fall Bay a 7-0 lead. Further pressure led to a penalty from Kirk. The Pontrhydyfen forwards responded with some good driving play into the Fall Bay 22 culminating in a penalty for them.

The last league game for the seniors will be an away game at Aberavon Naval on Saturday the 26th April KO 2:30.

There will be a bus for players and supporters which leaves the club at 12:30.

The next game for the Youth team is at home against Penlan on Saturday April the 26th KO 2:30.

The next game will be away at Penybanc on Wed April 23rd KO 6:30pm.
